Loegering Versatile
Track System
Perfect for skid steers with wheelbases under 42 in. and engines in the 42- to 65-hp range, Loegering Mfg. has introduced a new, smaller model of its Versatile Track System (VTS). The VTS is a complete rubber track undercarriage system that can be quickly bolted onto almost any brand of skid steer loader. No machine
modifications are required. Now contractors with virtually any size or brand of skid steer can enjoy the versatility provided by the VTS, which allows owners to quickly decide whether rubber tires or a rubber track undercarriage is best for a particular application. The easy-on, easy-off design of the VTS allows the rubber track undercarriage, available with 12- or 15-in.-wide tracks, to be bolted directly to the hubs of most skid steer loaders in less than one hour.

Any machine is useless without an operator, and Gehl’s new E-Series improvements are made for keeping operators in the driver’s seat. The operator is comfortably seated in the large operator compartments with roll-over protection. An advanced acoustical material that lowers sound levels and an optional deluxe suspension seat that adjusts to the operator’s weight perfectly marries safety and comfort. The 3640E and 4240E skid loaders feature Yanmar diesel engines with 35 and 46 hp respectively, while Deutz 2011 diesel engines are used in the larger modes with horsepower’s ranging from 45 hp on the 4640E to 82 hp on the 6640E. Volvo’s ECR compact excavator series is ready to squeeze into that tightly spaced excavating job with ease. The short-swing radius compact excavators have been designed to offer maneuverability, enhanced
safety and expanded job opportunities. The excavators’ horsepower range is between 18.1 (ECR28) and 56.8 hp (ECR88), and their digging depths range from 7 ft, 8 in. to 13 ft, 7 in. Also featured is an auto-idling system that provides lower fuel consumption, less noise and a longer engine life. Despite the compact size, the cab is anything but small. The operator’s controls are suspended with the seat and fitted with ergonomic armrests and visibility has been vastly improved.

Takeuchi’s new TB108 1-ton
compact excavator replaces the old TB007 model, while incorporating a variety of new safety and performance features such as hydraulically released parking brakes, a control tower lockout system of operating controls and travel levers and a standard travel alarm. The hydraulically adjustable undercarriage allows the TB108 to pass through openings as narrow as 29.1 in. and then expand to 35.4 in. for greater operating stability. Caterpillar E-series
Backhoe Loaders
The D-Series is the past. The E-series is the future, and the future is now. Caterpillar’s new line of backhoe loaders offer net horsepower of 74, 89 and 97 from the 416E, 420E and 430E, respectively. While the 416E and 420E offer a standard digging depth of 14 ft, 4 in. and the 430E offers 15 ft, 5 in., an extendible stick pushes the depth to 17ft, 11in. and 19 ft, 6 in. In addition to the closed-center, load-sensing hydraulics and an increased top travel speed at 25 mph, Cat spared no expense with a complete redesign of the cab and operator’s station featuring a narrowed front dash, foot operated tilt steering and an air condition system that produces 20 percent more air flow.

The new Ditch Witch SK650 is equipped with a 31-hp Kubota turbo diesel engine, and the only compact utility loader that directs 20 net hp to the attachment, enabling this relatively small platform unit to outperform other machines of comparable size — even riding units. Rubber Track Compact Utility Loader
If you have big time work in small places, the Vermeer S600TX compact utility loader will get you on track. This rubber trackcompact loader is available with either a 25-hp Kohler Command Pro gas engine or a 25-hp Kubota D905 diesel engine and has a machine width of 35.75 in., which allows the S600TX to maneuver through confined areas. While the
7- or 9-in. tracks provide enhanced stability and lower operating ground pressure, a spring-cushioned platform, which is positioned within the framework of the machine, reduces the need to walk through worksite debris, mud and uneven terrain.

Joining the existing line of 24-, 30- and 40-in. skid steer cold planer models, Zanetis Power Attachments has introduced two new attachments with a 16- and 18-in. cutting width and feature an 8-in cutting depth, the deepest in their class. The units have a removable side cover that enable the operator to cut flush against walls or standing curbs. All Zanetis planers have a hydraulic tilt, depth and side shift controls, as well as a block and holder tooth system, which gives the tooth tip a 5-in. clearance, reducing drag in the cut. The Bobcat concrete pump attachment is ideal for contractors who routinely work in residential areas with confined yards and need to pump up productivity. The attachment avoids the need for contractors to hire a concrete pump-truck to deliver concrete to hard-to-reach areas, allowing contractors to protect underground utilities and prevent damage to driveways, sidewalks and finished landscaping.
